How fixed prices work
Every fixed price includes travel in the area I cover and a written note to keep. I'll tell you what to have ready when I confirm the booking, because a forgotten password is the most common thing that holds a job up.
If something outside my control stops the job, such as a password that takes days to reset, a faulty old device or broadband that isn't live yet, I'll do everything that can be done, charge the fixed price, and offer a follow-up at the normal rate for the rest. If it takes longer because of something on my side, I finish it at no extra cost.

What's included
- Switching it on and installing updates
- Signing in to your Apple or Google account (you type the password)
- Moving contacts, photos, messages, WhatsApp chats and apps from your old phone, if it still works
- Connecting to your Wi-Fi
- Screen lock, Find My and backup switched on
- The apps you actually use put on the first screen
- 20 to 30 minutes of practice on the things you do most

- Moving things off a broken or locked old phone
- Network contract or number-transfer disputes

A new printer set up, or your old one reconnected, printing from your computer and your phone.
What's included
- Unpacking and setting up a new printer, or reconnecting an existing one
- Joining it to your Wi-Fi
- Installing it on up to two devices, for example a computer and a phone
- A test print and a test scan
- Showing you how to print a document and a photo from your phone
- Explaining the ink options so you can decide (you sign up yourself if you want a subscription)

- Printer repairs and paper-feed faults
- Printers too old to work with your computer (I'll advise on a replacement instead)

- Checking the speed in the main rooms
